There are so many people living lives of quiet dignity despite horrific medical news or poverty or tragedy where every day they still wake up and try to be good people in the world even as the world pushes against them and it makes me even angrier at the absolute shitheads that rule over things

Discussing things with low level Economists reminds that most of them only work within the construct of capitalism. Many can’t discuss useful solutions becuz w/out scarcity to study they wouldn’t have a job, and they need the siloing of markets to persist. That’s my wild generalization of the day.

I just want to be as comfortable as my cat looks. This is going to be a recurring theme.

“Aunt Jennifer’s Tigers,” by Adrienne Rich, is a blazing portrait of an artist and her work. Our critic A.O. Scott admires its craft — and its wildness.

I won’t make fun of how MAGA gals do their makeup because they might stop doing it, and it’s such an easy signal that you’re dealing with someone unhinged. Like, thanks for the heads up!
