I hiked the AT, rode the Tour Divide, and paddled the Mississippi. I spend the rest of my time trying to save democracy.
It seems pretty straightforward that the boat murders were criminal. How far down the chain does that liability go? Should the pilot be tried criminally? Intermediate officers that relayed the order?

Gearing up to watch season 5 of Stranger Things and I've finished off a season 1 rewatch. The cast is really great, especially Millie Bobby Brown.

Updating - total reported turnout in the TN7 special is now 168k, or 93% of the total votes cast in the November, 2022 midterm general election, a race the GOP won by 22 pts. The GOP has some serious issues right now.

People that make youtube videos or podcasts need to spend more time doing retakes instead of stitching together 0.5 second clips of individual words because they droned on too long.

Just switch to some other footage and do a voice over and they don't even have to get out the camera again.

Just found out it will snow tonight and I'm excited to go on a late night snow ride later. It will be the first one of the season!

Paying the President for a pardon is an entirely new crime and everyone that does it should be prosecuted and thrown back in jail for twice as long.

I was listening to a podcast about energy and the guest was droning on with industry buzzwords and clearly a moron that doesn't know what he's talking about.

Turns out he's an undersecretary at the Dept of Energy.

Did the mulitbillion corporation MSNBC really change their name to MSNOW without buying msnow.com?

How do I get this in MISO? Net loss of 3 GW last year already added like $8 billion to our summer capacity auction. Now they want hyperscale facilities, including a 1.4 GW not far from me.

No more PJM data centers unless they can be reliably served: market monitor
The PJM Interconnection’s market monitor urged the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to rule that large data centers can only come online if the grid operator can still meet reliability metrics.

Hey people, we don't need to have our social apps blast out our locations. The people on Twitter aren't liking/following those big accounts because they think they're American, they do it because they enjoy the racism.

Since the Department of Defense is gone and we don't need a Department of War, we can mostly just zero that budget out, right?

Everytime I hear Christopher Brown in Ken Burns' American Revolution my brain immediately starts to think it's William Cronon from The National Parks. Then I look back at the screen and go "oh yeah, it's this guy"

They both have a soothing cadence that I enjoy a lot.

I got to do a glow ride with all the niblings (except the newborn)! The two from out of town are visiting (due to newborn), so we went out to have some fun.

My sister noted that we almost had a rainbow. I didn't realize how much effect we had on the fence. I guess I'll have to get yellow next.

I looked at the Flock camera map for my area again and north of me they are literally tracking everyone door to door. They've placed cameras by every neighborhood.
