Propositions LL and MM passed here in Colorado which means free school meals for all kids regardless of financial need and it allows for any excess to be used to support SNAP
Supporters of Propositions MM and LL declare victory
The two measures increase funding for Colorado’s universal free school meals program and could bolster SNAP, too.

Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

The amount of time between starting some cringey activity* and the full cringe overtaking you is so short, and yet, infinite.😅😐😵

Another day ending in Y, another day I think of those two professional bean tasters whose meetcute was over a kettle of baked beans (iirc Nadiya's Time To Eat s1e1?). 😍😭

Can someone please check on my iced coffee? I ordered it forever ago but my cat just keeps standing here meowing at me like I should be the one getting up and making it! Rude!

One of the toughest transitions from mid to senior dev was that I know I *can* do a bunch of stuff I probably *shouldn't* do, but there are fewer people to say hey that's a terrible idea.

This! LLMs are not systems thinkers, the humans who are systems thinkers are more valuable than ever
Your ability to understand complex systems and describe nuanced problems is at an all-time premium. Deeply understand your context, communicate the details clearly, and drive toward good solutions.

That’s always been the job for designers, engineers, and PMs. But now it’s much more important.

Avoid forcing users to memorize information. For example, use field labels instead of placeholder text. Placeholder text disappears when users begin typing. This forces them to memorize placeholder text or delete information so they can see placeholders again.
