All those saying that Reform will be subject to a greater level of scrutiny now- good luck. Local press is much weakened in many places and national press won’t pay much attention.

Just over a week ago Nigel Farage was proposing we accept chlorinated chicken to get a US trade deal.

(What happened to dressing up in a Barbour standing next to tractors?)

Yesterday morning he was touting Brexit as the reason the UK had a 10% tariff.... and by end-of-day the EU was also on...10%.

Four senior members of Donald Trump’s entourage have held secret discussions with some of Kyiv’s top political opponents to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, just as Washington aligns with Moscow in seeking to lever the Ukrainian president out of his job.

The most confused speech from an opposition leader in years.

"The world is changing and the UK is not ready", says party that was in charge from 2010 until a few months ago.

In a "world of the strong and the weak we must not be weak", so let's abandon "internationalism". Isolationism IS weak. ~AA

It’s a coup. It’s a strategic alliance with Putin. It’s the end of the post-war international order. It’s the triumph of lies over truth and in Putin’s case, evil over good. We are through the looking glass & we all now have to decide who we are & what we stand for

President Trump has blamed DEI policies for the Washington plane crash. That’s before an investigation, before anyone knows for sure what has happened. He just says it’s “common sense.”

The public enquiry should also consider the behaviour of elected politicians during the investigation and prosecution of this case, and their willingness to confect rumour and spread inflammatory misinformation in the service of their own agendas.
Keir Starmer: “If this trial had collapsed because I or anyone else had revealed crucial details while the police were investigating,... then the vile individual who committed these crimes would have walked away a free man. The prospect of justice, destroyed for the victims and their families.”

The UK has some of the highest energy prices in the world.

Why?

Because our wholesale electricity price is set by the most expensive source.

So even if 99% of energy used was wind or solar, and 1% was gas, we’d still pay the gas price for all of it.

Kemi Badenoch mentioned how much the UK's debt interest is costing us. She's right, it's becoming crippling. And a very substantial portion of that debt was added to the UK government's balance sheet during the Conservatives' period in office.
