Still a mediocre software engineer, father and husband.
I aspire to be a mediocre hockey player.
Booker prize for fiction award this year should have gone to me for my timesheets, to be honest.

As if I can remember what I did two days ago.

I'm old enough to remember when plenty of skeptics etc. Held Krauss in pretty high regard.

What a grim sad individual he turned out to be.
Discussing a Women in the World conference about women's negative experiences with male colleagues, here's Krauss telling Epstein there should be a retaliatory "Men Of the World" conference featuring Bill Clinton, Woody Allen, Al Franken and Kevin Spacey. Weird!

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

But loads of absolutely legitimate businesses use VPNs on a huge scale daily? For various reasons?
The British government admits it is now monitoring VPNs use by UK residents. Regulator Ofcom has contracted with an AI-powered surveillance service to detect the number of citizens using VPNs to evade the Online Safety Act.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.
Exclusive: Ofcom is monitoring VPNs following Online Safety Act. Here's how

We force Daniel Craig to do another one where Bond has to win his way out of the afterlife through doing spy missions for the devil.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

I always used to love conspiracy theories, and the "Paul is dead" one was always onenof my favourites.

In part because it's ao obviously nonsense, and also because it has such low stakes.
Ah, 9 November – a sad one, this: 59th anniversary of the day Paul McCartney died, forcing the other Beatles to replace him with an orphan they had trained to impersonate him, and then (obviously) put clues in songs and on album covers so people could find out anyway

Daughter watched a preview of the new Running Man film tonight.

She absolutely loved it and is buzzing "5/5" (although she is an Edgar Wright stan). I'm looking forward to it more.

Love this spam email from the "suspense department" saying I owe money.

Maybe I've been ordering thriller novels on the sly and not paying for them?

I don't watch Traitors but I'm pleased that people are getting to know what a nice bloke Joe Marler is via the show. I did his podcast to publicise my first book and it was one of the most enjoyable interviews I did for it.

Feel like I need to comment on those there elections in America as everyone else seems to feel the need.

I'd just like it to be known that these earth-shattering results prove I've been right all along.

They definitely confirm we should do what I was saying we should do last week.
