I made 7 layer salad for today. In the process, I burned the bacon, cut my thumb, and spilled half of it when I transferred it to a larger bowl because the one I used was too small. This is why I don’t cook. I really try. I just stink at it. 😂

One thing that's occurred to me: SNAP is often not referred to as SNAP in states - in Wisconsin, we call it FoodShare. So some people might not even realize that their money for food is on the cusp of lapsing next month.

Please help those in need during the upcoming holidays. It means more to them than you will know. Sometimes it’s the only joy during an otherwise stressful time, especially for the children.

I grew up in a low income home. It’s not fun to go without basic needs that most people take for granted. SNAP must continue during the shutdown. Children will suffer - due to no fault of their own.
