Cook a pound of macaroni, then put it back in the pot with about three tbsp of butter. In separate bowl, mix 1 can evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed!), 8 oz shredded cheddar, and two egg yolks. Maybe 1 tsp mustard. Mix it back into the pasta over medium heat until cheese melts. Add salt.
