98% transphobia. The homophobic part: the admin “recognizes. . . that there is no substitute for a strong mother and father.” Right now, defending gay rights means speaking up for trans rights. The same ideals are the foundation for both and are in danger via the disgusting attacks on trans people.
The President issued a statement this morning that trivializes child abuse by demeaning gay parents and slandering the hundreds of thousands of families who love and support their transgender children. This is particularly heinous coming from Donald Trump, himself an unrepentant sexual abuser.

I really don't see how we can ever have WFTDA global champs in the US again after this
THEY'RE GOING TO ISSUE PERMANENT VISA BANS TO TRANS VISITORS TO THE US.
This isn't just for athletes. The directive as stated applies to all visa applications made by trans folks and declare it material fraud to use a different gender marker on applications.

I really don't see how we can ever have WFTDA global champs in the US again after this
So if I were a college athlete in Texas, the government wants to
(a) physically examine me,
(b) obtain my genetic data,
(c) both
just to allow me to play a sport. But forcing universities to share NIL income with women’s sports - which could really move the needle on growing women’s sports - nah.

The WY legislators who mention Title IX incessantly as they’re pushing anti-trans legislation should be up in arms about this.
I know this will come as a shock, but Riley Gaines hasn’t said boo about the Trump administration rolling back the requirement that NIL be subject to Title IX.

The control caucus is too busy attacking trans people, education, and women to bother working on actual issues.

I love roller derby so much
Only mentioning this because it's part and parcel of the culture those trans women are participating in, minimising women's strength and effectively essentialising it into hormone status.
There's a reason roller derby doesn't require anyone to take hrt or blockers to play women's derby.
