Same here. Loans were the only way I could go to college even though my grades and test scores were very good. It turns out I've had autism the whole time, and scholarships, especially for girls, were mainly for captain of the Sports Team, dedicated volunteer, and/or devoted churchgoer. (1/2)
The way student loans are meant to limit your options in general is truly unhinged. I have fully paid off the amount I took out twice and still owe more than I took out.

I want my apartment to smell like a Christmas tree, so I went to Aldi and got their "O Christmas Tree" Scentsicles, but it's waaay too eucalyptus-y (why?!), so I'm gonna have to go back and get Snowberry Pine and Winter Spruce and hope one of them actually smells like a tree from this continent.

My band played in the holiday concert hosted by our city's gay men's chorus, and omg it was a delight. The 2nd half, after we played, they came out in ugly sweaters. Their last song was a Madonna song, and I have never seen that many middle aged men so happy in my life. They had fiber optic wands!

I know so many great people who are doing so much. If you are isolated from people who are trying their best, I can understand feeling like no one's doing anything, but really, you just need to find the people who are trying and try with them — or maybe encourage some new folks to try alongside you.

I fucked up my right middle finger nail bed a bit with the latch of my old-timey trunk. I assume it's because I haven't removed the wizard school sticker that's been on it for 2 decades, and it saw the non-binary flag on my wall, went "you're not a real woman!", and tried to kill me.

I enjoyed it, but I googled (well, ddg'd) whether the one actor can actually speak russian, and the only results were "he does a really good russian accent but it's fake believe it or not!" And... he literally has multiple scenes where all his lines are IN russian! Not russian-accented english!
I should be cleaning but fuck it, watching the gay hockey lads before I go to bed early 🤣
