I see a man who builds walls because he is afraid. I see a man who closes doors because he feels inferior. I see a man who hoards wealth because his heart is empty. I see a man so weak he wants the world to suffer. I pity this man who will never be king and embrace all who will stand to stop him.
This is the way.

Retired Army Sgt. Brian Wofford spoke to me this morning at the Oklahoma City #NoKings protest. Didn’t expect him to be carrying his DD214 so I asked some warmup questions like when he got out and whether his injury was service-related.

He paused while describing the car bomb in Iraq to say this:

Today in history, 1915: Mr. Cecil Chubb buys Stonehenge at auction for £6,600 (more than $1 million today). The wealthy lawyer said he bought it “on a whim” for his wife, who had wanted Cecil to buy a set of dining chairs. He passed it to the public by deed of gift in 1918. /1

Feel-good stories made possible by a government whose moral compass spins.
Remember Nory and her mom Estela? Here’s the devastating update.

ICE took Estela’s blood pressure meds when they deported her. She was too afraid to leave home for refills because the same gangs that beat her in Guatemala were still waiting.

She died at 45 because she didn’t have her medication.
