🚨93.6% voted YES for industrial action in the ballot on the HSE Pay & Numbers Strategy.

Well done to you all for the lunchtime protests and the ballot turnout. The determination to fight for what’s right is incredible.

Remember government leaders over the weekend saying they support disability workers & others like them?

Today at talks on pay equality, government reps said they had NO MANDATE to address the issue.

Micheál Martin TD & @simonharrisireland.bsky.social - give them the mandate them. Immediately.
Over the weekend, a lot of people were angry at how a disability support worker was treated by Simon Harris. He apologised.

But in reality, workers like her are still fighting for equal pay.
And they are still not being treated fairly by the government.

Here's the backstory:
Fine Gael leader Simon Harris has said that he should have taken the time to engage with a woman who raised issues in relation to disabilities with him in Co Cork last night

Okay, early days, but here's a quick starter pack for Universal Basic Income with some accounts to follow besides mine, and the UBI feed that's super useful to leverage to find fellow UBI supporters and amplify their UBI content.

Reply if you want to be added as UBI-focused.

I truly wouldn’t care if a man dressed like the king of England was in the urinal next to me. I get that for extremely online rightwingers, a trip to a public bathroom might be the most memorable moment of the day, but the rest of us truly do not give a shit who is peeing nearby.
