Of course “commodified” content is useless. But unique-and-differentiating content drives reader engagement and advertising support. Covering communities that have no other local media source is de facto unique and differentiating, meaningful content with real value. We’re proving it.

The bill is now off to the governor's desk for a signature. Thank you to everyone who testified, contacted reps, and helped to spread the word about the bill! We did it!

I would say ABC should be ashamed of themselves but I spent enough to time in TV to know networks have no shame. What they have are shareholders & corporate owners. We have a POTUS who refers to a Governor as ‘Newscum’ and it gets accepted by news orgs but calling out evil isn’t.
