Looks at weighing reflections & proportionality when case takes long. further here www.linkedin.com/posts/cathry... At the NMC council meeting yesterday Anthony Omu reminded the NMC that they should closing cases after 2yrs if no ongoing concerns and focus on the more risky cases - will NMC listen?

Heard from this nurse today-lots of support at work but still has v low days. NMC have said she isn't a priority as they must focus more recent cases! Resolved locally with the real culprit dealt with. You would think NMC would be pleased to be able to clear one case out of their backlog...

NMC must lead by example? Manywhistleblowers and those who have raised concerns are referred to the NMC for minor issues just to silence them. When they try to inform the NMC of others wrong doing it is perceived as avoidance and lack of insight www.nmc.org.uk/standards/gu... @nmcwatch.bsky.social
