When I served on NIH review panels, I always thought: We need more *not so good* #plantscience proposals! The plant proposals were on average so much better than the rest, but as a 🌱 biologist, it was difficult to convince the other panel members that 🌱 scientists all punched above their weight.
During the Q&A session, EPSO encouraged plant scientists to apply for ERC grants.
🌱 The challenge? It’s a matter of numbers - there just aren’t enough applications coming from plant science!
