At @commonshealth.bsky.social today, I asked @nihrhapru.bsky.social's Prof Cris Todd about exercise to prevent frailty in older people.

Exercises like tai chi and yoga were common ways to keep older people exercising, but these successful programs often disappear when the initial funding dries up.

Today our NIHR HAPRU Director @barbarahanratty.bsky.social contributed to the HSR UK Conference 2025 opening plenary panel, "The NHS Ten Year Plan: How might health services research respond?" #HSRUK2025
Great opening plenary at @hsruk.bsky.social about how we as H&SC researchers make impact on policy. Lots of useful advice: share green shoots with caveats, involve local MPs, acknowledge different timescales, ensure representativeness throughout, work with third sector to mobilise findings #HSRUK25
