This is right.

There are real pastoral dynamics at play. But it cannot be that once a party chooses to take a position on a given question, the church can therefore no longer articulate the gospel’s position on that same question. Parties cannot determine how much of the gospel is right to preach.

I was thinking at church yesterday that a lot about me can be summed up by the fact that the two things absolutely guaranteed to make me cry every time are baby baptisms and Andy Murray crying.

I did not know Sonia especially well, but I am grateful to have witnessed someone so faithfully, honestly, and boldly meeting her death. Rest in peace and rise in glory.
