As a side note, not being into a game based on the trailer due to the direction the game is taking is valid criticism...not being into a game due to the protagonist not fitting your creepy viewpoints of how women/POC should be displayed is not. End of fucking story.

My hot take: remakes/re-releases should not be in consideration for #TheGameAwards. Slapping a new coat of pain of an already existing product does not make you a great game, it means you have a great engine at the moment.

I still use the 'Twilight' mentality-check when judging people; if they are irrationally angry at teenage girls of being a fan of something and their arguments do not hold criticism of the something being liked but instead the fans, then they do not pass the vibe check. It's never failed me before.
