"Tzefardea Tzedek" (Frog of Righteousness)

As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)

Donald Trump is not a king — and his administration is not above the law.

Today, the court confirmed what we all know: there is no credible evidence of a rebellion in the state of Illinois.

And no place for the National Guard in the streets of American cities like Chicago.

Just a reminder that a staggering number of Black women have also lost their jobs due to capitulation to this administration. That deserves more outrage.

One of my new anime club kids as we are watching Lucky Star: This anime has lots of personality in a good way but it looks a little weird. It’s like you Ms. Name. And I about died laughing, that description is so me. I missed my anime club kids.

@mcgiro.bsky.social and I are doing a demon slayer re-watch to prep for Infinity Castle. It’s one of my favorite anime hands down because it’s got a lot of what I love in Magical Girl anime.

I think Altman assumes that “PhD-level expert” means someone who speaks confidently on everything as opposed to saying “it’s nuanced,” losing their keys, and getting maniacally fixated on their current topic to the point of seeing it in everything.
“GPT-5 is the first time that it feels like talking to an expert in any topic — a Ph.D.-level expert,” OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said.

We do not belong to our past (although I hope we’ll treat it with care and respect).

We do not belong to our future (although I hope we’ll build toward it with hope and joy).

We the Jews are multifaceted— beautiful, broken, and always becoming, generation to generation. But we are not yours.

We the Jews are not yours.

We do not belong to republicans “protecting” us (if we believe the “right” things).

We do not belong to Israeli ministers “keeping us safe” by starving civilians

We do not belong to protestors claiming immunity from antisemitism because some Jews support their cause.

The way that I was raised, being Jewish meant believing that every human life was sacred; to save a single human life meant saving all of humanity. That no law or ritual was more important than saving a single human life.

It's unfathomable that any Jew can accept what Israel is doing in Gaza.

And bc these funding streams are directed at either specific activities (PD) or special populations (ELL services) some people might say "well that doesn't affect me."

Thats incorrect. These are budget bombs and they will disproportionately harm already underfunded districts (more pain for cities)

These cuts happen where the federal $ hit the states so it's going to take a second to understand how this will affect your school and your kids, especially over the summer.

A lot of the scrambling will happen behind the scenes while everyone is distracted/occupied/tired AF.
