My grudge game is too strong. I was bullied too much and I *hated* it. My fond childhood memories are few and far between. And I'm angry. I'm literally mad that I can't verbally or physically destroy a number of people because they've died. Jack the dickhead football coach of ICHS. I'd fuck him up.

Therapy was interesting yesterday. I feel like we're finally going to figure out why I loathe myself. And find the source of my anger. Hang on, I need to go clean my red light saber.

So my boss is retiring in like 6 months. The heir apparent is not interested in taking over for him. Perhaps it's time to throw my hat in the ring. I have the I.T. chops. I've managed people. I know how campus works. Time to take the next step? I think so.

Was happy (small victory in the midst of this bullshit) that when I was "sworn in" today that there was no "so help me deity" part like on TV. That would have been a hard stop.

Shit's rough, man. The interview thing sucked today. Transmission in my 2002 Acura now needs a screwdriver on hand to shift out of park and/remove keys from ignition. Spring broke on my garage door. I'm broke. Car on the driveway. Ugh.

Testing our Debian 13 Trixie installer today before we go over and image 64 cluster nodes with it. Grabbed an old drive and bossman said "use one of those SSDs--it'll go faster..."
Install started, I went and got a cup of ice, and came back to a blank screen. "WTF?" Yeah, it went faster. Done!
