Green Woodpecker outside the kitchen window this morning. A common species, but I don’t see them often in the garden.

I was surprised to find this lMarmalade Hoverfly, Episyrphus balteatus, sunning itself on the frame of my back door today.

It never ceases to amaze me what turns up in my garden. These have just appeared! Earthy Powercap (Cystoderma amianthinum). Well over 1,500 species recorded in the garden now.
