Looking for picture book recommendations! What’s new and good?

I have two nibblings, a 14 month old and an 8 month old, and am doing some winter shopping. Have some classics that my kids enjoyed when they were little, but I know there’s gotta be some great new stuff that’s come out.

Ya girl is burnt out on non-fiction.

did you know that most independent booksellers do not get healthcare through their jobs and navigate insurance markets on their own? do you know most independent booksellers don't make a lot of money?

anyway for no particular reason here's a reminder to donate to BINC: bincfoundation.org

This perfectly encapsulates how I feel living in the US. The republican party is an insane death cult, the democratic party is 3 corporations in a trench coat, and the "socialists" are just the completely normal left-wing capitalists you'd find in any of 2 dozen European nations.
Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’
Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given

As we approach the season of giving, I wanted to share the incredible work of the Binc Foundation, a critical safety net for the book industry. 🧡

Binc helps booksellers and bookstore owners in times of need. They keep bookstores open and help them rebuild. A worthy cause, indeed.

Teen Vogue has been incredible for years but it was just now starting to get mainstream notice. There’s no VC threatening corporate governance mandating infinite group. This is privately owned. They just slashed their only property with a *growing* audience…because Wintour thinks it’s tacky?

dissatisfied by the New York Times coverage of Zohran Mamdani?

great news! I talked to the guy Thursday about his campaign’s success at bringing community together beyond this election, and contextualized how it’s potentially shifted youth engagement with politics by simply listening @teenvogue.com
Zohran Mamdani's Establishment-Fighting Campaign Built Community for Young People
“What Mamdani has done is not only inspire and mobilize young people, but he has exposed the establishment and some of their calcified views of participation and inclusion.”
