I hate Trump, but... There has been some discussion about Trump holding on to the railing when he descends the Air Force One stairs. About ten years ago I hurt myself when I slipped going down some stairs. There was no long term injury. Now I carefully hold on to the railing when I go down stairs.

For most of the year, I live outside of the US. We have friends and neighbors from Canada, Germany and other European countries. Many of them will not travel to the United States now, even to transit through a US airport.

I hope for a better, post-Trump future. Congress, driven by Trump Republicans, has killed sane immigration legislation. I hope that the current reign of terror produced by ICE will motivate politicians to finally pass reasonable immigration reform.

Trump is trying to take control of the US Federal Reserve, which even the corrupt Supreme Court has ruled is independent. Trump wants to cut interest rates to 1%.

Interest rates cannot be entirely controled by the Fed. Interest rates are also set by the buyers of the US's T-bill debt.

Sergio Gor, who was the White House personnel chief, was born in Russia and grew up in Malta. Even Kash Patel's FBI may have had a problem OKing his background check: Trump is nominating Sergio Gor to be U.S. ambassador to India. Like Kimberly Guilfoyle becoming ambassador to Greece.

BlueSky should collect statistics on accounts being blocked or muted. If this happens a lot, the account should be banned. This might help get rid of the vast amount of computer game spam I am seeing.

What the he'll is happening to BlueSky? There are vast numbers of garbage computer game accounts. Keep muting them, but new ones keep appearing like some kind of demented Kudzu. These posts just show screen shots of their pathetic games with no discussion.

I am suddenly seeing lots of stupid posts on computer games. What is going on? I've been muting each one but it seems endless.

J.D. Vance says of liberals: "They hate the president of the United States [Trump]. And most of all, they hate the people who voted for that president of the United States in the last election in November." Yeah, that pretty much sums it up for me.

Melania Trump was in Epstein's circle before she started dating Trump. She was a second-tier model who was probably "dating" wealthy men. One view of this is that she was an escort. What Trump may be afraid of is having all of this exposed. A sex worker becomes First Lady.

I am very disappointed to read about the settlement between Columbia University and the Trump Administration.

I have BA and MS degrees from research universities and I worked at a government research lab for many years. I understand what it means to lose that level of government funding.

The Medicaid cuts in the Big Ugly Bill take effect on the day after the midterm elections in 2026. Are the Medicaid cuts just performance art? The Democrats gain the House in 2026. Then the Democrats reverse the Medicaid cuts, saving all of those red state voters from losing their health insurance.

There is no check on Trump admin corruption. The Justice Dept will not prosecute anyone in the admin who commits criminal acts. Congress will not impeach and remove Trump. The can get away with anything.

Trump at the 2025 NATO summit was an embarrassment to the United States. An even greater embarrassment was the US voters who twice elected Trump president. Europe knows it can't trust the US due to the US voters' tolerance for corruption and the betrayal of allies.

Whitehouse director of personnel Sergio Gor is accused of being a possible Russian spy. Let's say this were true. Given Trump's Justice Dept, CIA, FBI and DNI it is entirely possible that nothing would be done about this. At best it would be swept under the rug. At worst, he would be left in place.

In an interview with retired General Stanley McChrystal he pointed out that military officers are expected to honor their oaths to the Constitution. But expecting the military to save the country when Congress takes no action may not be unrealistic. Congress has the power, just not the will.

I don't see the outrage and fear that I expected to see in reaction to the deployment of 700 Marines to LA. This may be a dress rehearsal for deploying the military to suppress protests in response to canceling the 2026 elections or refusing to seat Democrats in the House.

Oh dear you’re going to want to read this. Looks like DOGErs were caught exfiltrating NLRB data, likely on unions, for private (seemingly Elony) use. This is must read. What we’ve all suspected. But now details. www.npr.org/2025/04/15/n...
A whistleblower's disclosure details how DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data
A whistleblower tells Congress and NPR that DOGE may have taken sensitive labor data and hid its tracks. "None of that ... information should ever leave the agency," said a former NLRB official.

Fuck all you GOP traitorous cowards, with your lips stuck to his ass, supporting the destruction of the US, and lying to protect him
Even tho you know what he's doing is wrong.

Even when he is defeated, and he will be, we will never forget you and what you did.

Do Republicans think their job is to serve Donald Trump—or the American people?

They can join us right now to pass the bipartisan resolution to end Trump’s reckless tariffs.
