I have a #KLeague column now

I’m hoping to continuously refine and improve this throughout the year, but want it to be conversational and light, touching on the talking points of the top-flight, and perhaps shining a light on stuff that can go under the radar.

Now reposting this, but for #QPR fans to get a picture of the breakthrough 2024 Yang Min-hyeok had.
With Yang Min-hyuk officially leaving to join Tottenham Hotspur, I’ve updated this piece looking at the winger’s highlights from his incredible year.

Should be exciting to see how he develops in England now, surrounded by some top players.

Gangwon FC have signed forward Mario Ćuže.

The 25-year-old winger previously played for HSK Zrinjski Mostar, and bolsters the Bears’ attack for the coming season.

Here, I’ve written a full guide to 34 first-team players from Gangwon FC ahead of the 2025 season. As always, it’ll be updated consistently too!

I’d love for anyone interested in the team to give this a read ahead of an exciting season for the Bears.

More Gangwon FC signings!

The versatile veteran Yun Il-lok, and midfielder Won Hee-do, join the Bears, as they continue to completely refresh their squad ahead of the 2025 season.

As part of the latter deal, Yu In-soo has joined Jeju SK.

Crossposting to hear some Gangwon FC news that I’ve meant to share

First: Kim Dong-hyun is now captain again, with Lee Gwang-yeon, Lee You-hyeon and Lee Gi-hyuk all taking on vice-captain roles.

Gangwon FC have signed winger Choi Byung-chan.

The versatile forward joins the Bears after making 32 appearances for Bucheon FC last year, where he managed 3 goals and 4 assists.

Thank you Kim Young-bin!

The veteran defender departs Gangwon FC to join Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. The 33-year-old was a consistently reliable hand for the Bears over the years, and his leadership will be missed.

Looks like Park Su-hwan has been signed to Gangwon. Aggressive header of the ball, decent upside overall. Not ready yet, but doesn't have to be with some good CBs ahead of him.

I scouted him live earlier this year, here are my thoughts in short below:

Welcome Kang Yun-gu!

The creative midfielder signs for Gangwon FC from Ulsan HD, as the Bears continue to make moves in the transfer window.

An exciting signing, and a player with plenty of potential!

Late crosspost (again), but:

Thank you Yun Suk-young!

An excellent servant throughout his time with Gangwon FC, the experienced defender leaves after playing a key part in the Bears’ early 2024 form, and with a lot left to give whoever he joins next.

Gangwon FC have signed centre-back Park Soo-hwan.

The young centre-back had previously played for Yongin City Soccer Centre U18 team, following in the footsteps of his fellow Gangwon player Shin Min-ha.

Gangwon FC have signed defender Choi Jung-hoon.

The 25-year-old full-back hasn’t yet made an appearance in the K League, but has experience in lower divisions, and at youth level for South Korea.

Gangwon FC have signed winger Kim Do-hyun.

The 20-year-old played for Busan IPark last season, and has experience at youth level for South Korea. Hopefully he will prove to be a smart signing, and someone who can develop into a solid option in attack for the Bears.

Continuing my streak of late crossposting:

Gangwon FC have announced their rookie signings for the 2025 season.

Lots of exciting picks here, as everyone seems to have a different player they feel could break through in 2025! So it’s good to see the club prioritising quality youth.

Gangwon FC have today completed the permanent signing of Lee You-hyeon from Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.

The 27-year-old found his feet at the Bears when moved to central midfield last year, and became a consistently strong performer. Great to see him sign permanently.

Again trying to remember to crosspost more consistently, but Kim Dae-woo has renewed his contract with Gangwon FC!

Good to see the 24-year-old staying with the Bears as pre-injury he looked to be realising his potential, and establishing himself as a regular starter in the first team.
