Born in Yorkshire. Live in Camden. Love both. Passionately & ambitiously creating a more sustainable people focussed world alongside geeking out on #FamilyHistory. Everything I say or do is personal.
Loving #Radio4 #AnyQuestions this evening. Total focus on the questions and content. No avoidance of hard questions, but also no avoidance of blame, giving credit, cross party, where due, but calling out errors. Made me really think. Then I realised. It's an #AllFemalePanel. I love it. Thank you.

Good evening #AncestryHour, how are we all this evening? I've been having two separate #Wellock related conversations, one with someone in Canada and one in New Zealand. The one in New Zealand has a photo of my G Grandfather from 1921!

Well what a lovely #AncestryHour after being away for so long. Thank you all

Hello, lovely to see some people on #AncestryHour this evening as I've been absent for the last month whilst I followed the #Lionesses to victory in #Euro25.

Missing #AncestryHour for a reason! Have been working on family trees for the #Lionesses.

Just ran downstairs to share the news with the two receptionists with Italian heritage that I'd earlier shared my #WEuro25 excitement with. Fingers tightly crossed for tomorrow, but really looking forward to the #Lionesses playing #Italy
Italy are Women’s Euros semi-finalists for the first time since 1997! 🇮🇹

Cristiana Girelli is the hero with a late winner with the second of her two goals in this game!

Ada Hegerberg scored in between those goals, but Italy definitely deserved to win that.

In the places I hang out it has become quite normal for period products to be available, free of charge, in toilets. This is brilliant of course, but reflects my circle. Which is why I loved that at #WEURO25 they also had them out and proud with a view of the stadium. #LoveLionesses. #Lionesses

@suzywrack.bsky.social @tomjgarry.bsky.social @theguardian.com - any idea why there have been so many offside goals this Euros? Even taking account the ones that only VAR could have ruled offside there seem to be one or two every match. #WEuro2025

And last starter message from me. I've been scratching my head over a couple of baptisms in 1740 and 1741, both of which are before the parents married later in 1741, but seem to carry the father's surname, who is listed on the records. #AncestryHour 1/2

Couple of other things. I've been slowly reading Swaledale and Wharfedale Remembered, which contains short bios of all those from the area who died in WWI and WW2. There is a #Wellock in there, but so far no others who are jumping out as related. #AncestryHour 1/2
