Why do 26 billionaires even exist?
Did my first tempo run with my new paces. Mile 1 was 11:22, Mile 2 was 11:35. To run a 2:30 half, I need to be faster than 11:26 (to account for going longer than 13.1 which always happens in a race). It didn’t feel easy but it wasn’t super hard, either - but of course, I only did 2 miles.

Jeff Galloway changed my life. I will never not run/walk.
I’ve run 2 marathons doing run 4 minutes, walk 2 minutes. It’s slow but it’s also the only way this 50-year-old former offensive tackle’s body was going to go any kind of distance over a 5k.
If you are watching the NYC marathon today and are inspired to start running, please allow me to suggest run/walking. You don’t have to suffer! Run 8 minutes, walk 2. Run 90 secs, walk 30s. I run a minute, walk a minute. Be kind to your body. Enjoy being outside. Set yourself up for success.
