To learn that Owen Cooper has never acted before makes his role as Jamie in #Adolescence even more spectacular. That little boy shook me to my core in episode 3. His ability to weaponize his childlike innocence and use manipulation to threaten the psychiatrist was unnerving. What a show.

In the book I'm reading, I learned that the Haitian Revolution directly impacted Black men's ability to work for the US postal office/carrying mail. Went as far as banning them in 1802 because of fear of rebellion.

2025 so far has been blue, with no will and no motivation. But, this 3 day weekend I've been able to push through this funky feeling and I read 2 books (one physical, one audio) from start to finish. I usually cannot consume audio books. It just helps that Anika Noni Rose narrated this.

NYC is in complete shambles with 4 deputy mayor's announcing resignation. But, Adams' ego is so impenetrable that he continues to sacrifice the safety and stability of New Yorkers. And, im not sure how much Hochul will allow to transpire before she grows a spine
