FYI: the FAA was cutting flights for regular people who needed to get across the country to visit dying relatives, or just trying to get home to kiss their kids good night—while PROTECTING flying capacity for the very richest among us. Reminder: this shutdown was about tax cuts for billionaires.

The thing about Mamdani is that he’s a talented politician but not otherworldly or one in a billion, he’s just a competent guy with popular ideas who ran against an entitled piece of shit and to me it’s a lot more optimistic to imagine 1000 campaigns like his than to view him as a unique phenomenon

Very high likelihood this is going to affect influencers. The right-wing line on this is “let the free market figure it out,” as if that wasn’t already tried. They are teetering on the precipice of figuring out that the whole health insurance industry is a scam.
So every freelancer you know is going to lose their insurance or be bankrupted by premiums because Schumer is an invertebrate
