トランプ政権からすれば、レジスタンスに「暴力に打って出て欲しい」んだよね。そうすれば「社会秩序の維持」「暴動の沈静化」という大義名分で、戒厳令、憲法停止、選挙の中止などが行えるのから。

そこで「ポートランドは戦場だ」みたいなことを政権が言えば言う程、徹底的にそれを茶化すようなコスプレ・ダンスパーティとかをやって、それがいかに馬鹿げた主張であるかを世間に見せつける。これは本当に効果的な抵抗手段なんだなぁと感心している。

最近、ポートランドのこういう映像を観てはガンジーやキング牧師らの「非暴力の抵抗」について考えている。

子供のころから俺は「非暴力的抵抗」は主に倫理的な観点からの思想や哲学だと思ってた。つまり、抑圧者は暴力を使うが暴力に暴力で対抗するのは自分たちを抑圧者のレベルまで貶めるもので、我々はそれに与しない。といったような高い志のようなモノだ、と。

でも、最近思うのは、戦略・戦術的な観点から見てもこれはスマートなんじゃないかということ。

「ILR廃止はECHRにブロックされると思いますよ。それを口実にファラージはECHR離脱を訴えるんでしょう。もう一度『EU離脱』をやるんですよ」
と自分が話したら
