Interested in type1 diabetes. I have 3 children, 1 who was diagnosed at age 20 with type 1, and another who was subsequently found to have multiple antibodies but has still not become diabetic 5 years later. Primary school teacher, bit of a lefty.

FIRST AID COURSE yesterday-surprised that #T1D was barely mentioned. we were talking about an unresponsive (unknown reason) casualty and I said never give insulin if it’s found, trainer said “cos you might get the wrong dose”. 🤦♀️ Anyone else think FA courses should at least cover DON’T GIVE INSULIN!
