If you're wondering how this will go Square Enix handed off their mobile Octopath game to NetEase who immediately started using ChatGPT to translate everything resulting in text like this. When players complained they started asking fans to fix their translations in exchange for in-game currency

I've just watched The Tomb of Ligeia, and after reading a bit more about it, I've found this million degrees burn on the casting of Vincent Price as the lead saying that he looked like a necrophiliac.

Here's a brand new interview with our head boss onion Kimura in @pcgamer.com, on getting the courage to make a new RPG, and how #StrayChildren came together!

www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/af...
The Japanese dev inspired by Undertale's Toby Fox to make his first RPG in decades calls it 'a love letter to other people who love these odd games, like Toby and I do'
The Undertale-inspired Stray Children, like Kimura's '90s RPG Moon, is part oddball story, part genre commentary.

I have bought a Switch 2. Setting it up and performing a system transfer from the Switch 1 was one of the most ludicrous and simultaneously most and least Nintendo processes imaginable.

Also I had to log into my Nintendo account three times to buy something on the eshop.

Absolutely baffling.

I'm really sad to see this place go. On my first night in Japan I sat at a BlazBlue: Central Fiction cabinet and beat a player sat on the other side. When he came around to congratulate me, his friends mercilessly ripped the shit out of him for losing to a gaijin.

I wrote a long article about Rieko Kodama, her career at Sega, the evolution of her company, the games she worked on (including some canceled games and/or games for which she is not credited), the status of women and working conditions in the video game industry, etc.

My first experience with the original Prince of Persia was the DOS version at a childhood friend's house. Not sure what terrified us more - the crunchy "falling on spikes" death sound blasting through speakers or the imposing time limit.

Needless to say, as young kids we were rubbish at it.
"Which is your favorite/definitive version of the original Prince of Persia?"

💾As promised-- after 35 years, here's a proper blog post with my thoughts, and the story behind Prince of Persia's multiple 1990s ports.

Many few years back, I re-edited the live-action/cartoon hybrid ATTACK OF THE SUPERMONSTER and showed it once in theatres as part of the Children's Matinee series MEGA FUN MOVIE EXPLOSION we ran. This is the trailer I made for it, which humbly, I think still rules.

The Borderlands 4 inventory UI wouldn't be any more difficult to use if someone put their hands in front of my eyes every time I opened it.
"Man this new game is kicking off with the most devious and mindbending puzzle I've ever seen! You almost have to think in four dimensions just to know where to start! Oh, wait, this is just the inventory UI."

Odlaw being the global English name of the antagonist of Where's Waldo / Where's Wally is kinda disappointing when "Yllaw" in Welsh means, "The Hand", which if you think about it is the true antagonist of Wally's, whose only goal is to stay hidden.

Real good recommendation from the latest episode of @insertcredit.com to watch From Beijing With Love. My favourite thing about this scene is Stephen Chow's character offering a tiny plaster to cover a bullet wound.

If you enjoyed Chrono Trigger 30 years ago then spare a thought for anyone outside of North America and Japan who had to wait until 2009 for a small-screen version and 2011 for an official release that we could play on a television for one of the most widely and enduringly beloved videogames ever.
