Always good to be back in my alma mater — but a special honour this time to be inducted as Honorary Fellow of Trinity Hall, Cambridge. So grateful to be able to accept it in person.

Charles Darwin was born on 12 February 1809.

He is best known for his theory of evolution, published in 'On the Origin of Species' in 1859. However, he also produced many other works, as this shelf in Rev. Sabine Baring-Gould's library shows!
