Trump is desperate for a confrontation. Overly aggressive actions by ICE, incendiary rhetoric by the administration, bring in the National Guard against the governor's and mayor's wishes, and threaten to bring in military troops. He wants to provoke violence. Don't take the bait.

Trump is deporting people with legal status and no criminal convictions to foreign hellhole’s without due process.

His idiot team is sharing classified attack plans on insecure channels and accidentally including a reporter.

He’s pushing us toward a recession.

He’s threatening to invade allies.

What fight? So far D's have shown nothing but rolling over. I expected this from some senators, but not you. And the worst part is that you got nothing in return. Nothing. How can you say this with a straight face? So disappointing.
I will continue to fight against Donald Trump’s reckless, and in many instances, illegal attempts to gut the federal government. He is testing our system of checks and balances like they haven’t been tested in my lifetime. The fight continues.

@cantwell.senate.gov, I urge you to vote no on today's CR. This transfers even more control from the legislative branch to the executive branch, and is another step in the wrong direction.

They're doing it now.

This bill effectively hands the power of the purse over from Congress to the president, and it will further erode the balance of power between the different branches of government. And now the D's own this disaster too.
If we enter a shutdown, Congressional Republicans would weaponize their majorities to cherry-pick which parts of government to reopen.

This has been done multiple times already. Seems like a perfect thing to cut.
The CDC is planning a large study into potential connections between vaccines and autism despite extensive scientific research that has disproven or failed to find evidence of such links reut.rs/4kAhlgi
Exclusive: US CDC plans study into vaccines and autism, sources say
It is unclear whether U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr, who has long promoted anti-vaccine views, is involved in the planned CDC study or how it would be carried out.

@housedemocrats.bsky.social , @schumer.senate.gov, @murray.senate.gov, @jayapal.house.gov,

Better messaging, please. Example -

As of now, the answer to all R's is no. Just no.

Everything R's do - cruelty, chaos, and corruption
D's respond with - compassion, competence, and clarity

Done.

Trump and Vance's behavior today was disgraceful. We cannot have leaders who have such little self-control and understanding of history. We owe the Ukranians an apology.

Bravo to the men and women at the DOJ who stand for what is right.
A seventh federal prosecutor in the Eric Adams case has resigned instead of obeying Trump’s corrupt order to drop the charges as a political favor. “I expect you will eventually find someone who is enough of a fool, or enough of a coward, to file your motion. But it was never going to be me.”

This is the exact problem with the Democratic party right now. They're still playing by rules that the Republicans no longer recognize. Figure out a new tactic, and fast.
Gerry Connolly says he thought some Republicans would support his motion to subpoena Elon Musk: "My motion to subpoena him, I thought, would have some broader support on the Republican side. It had none."

What is he going to do, shoot or arrest them? Good grief. Bring marshals or other law enforcement or just blow right past him. Show some backbone!
This is not a U.S. Marshal, Federal Protective Service, or any other federal law enforcement officer. This is a private security guard from Triple Canopy. He has no authority to block members of Congress who have oversight of the EPA from entering the building.
We were just denied entrance into the EPA after asking to meet with a DOGE representative. More to come.

The Canadian province is British Columbia.

The South American country is COLOMBIA.
