Collections Spotlight! The 12-foot-by-15-foot "American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) Oklahoma City Quilt" will be on display as part of the upcoming show, "Quilting Memory: The Fabric of Oklahoma's Federal Labor 30 Years After the Oklahoma City Bombing."
A 12-15 foot quilt hangs at an angle. The quilt resembles the American flag, with a large blue rectangle top left that contains a quilted image of a bird on a budding tree with 3D flowers. The stripes are made up of red patches with individual messages, while fine text black on white makes up the white stripes. The whole quilt has a yellow border.
