Interesting...Bluesky is already starting to look like FB. People rushing in with opinions based on very little or no information, only what they think, and interpreting evidence to fit their biases.

Figured I'd pose this here, as the person I actually asked blocked me: If you believe the US is a "violent genocidal settler state", and you believe all settler states should be ended, why are you working for the US federal government?

This is turning out to be a much better platform than FB!
It's only been twice today that someone decided I'm wrong for challenging their opinions with fact, made some sort of parting comment, and then blocked me so I couldn't respond.
That's nothing like what happens on FB at all! So different!

If critical thinking is so important, be aware that it's easy to revise history.
It was claimed Israelis have been terrorizing Palestinians for "over 100 years." Problem is, neither of those concepts existed before 1948. Saying it did absolves the British of all responsibility for their own empire.

I am apparently "a fascist" for not supporting third parties, when every time that third parties have been significant to voting numbers, the big business party wins. Also, typical "Can't win, going to respond then block so everyone thinks I did" behavior.

Failure to recognize root causes is going to lead to more of the same.
If Democrats complain about "rigged elections", what's the difference between them and J6ers?
Recent electoral history shows that we flip-flop every few years, and that candidates are not winning by much.

So I have had two separate FB discussions with Trump supporters on tax issues. One thought the IRS had copies of everyone's donations and could prove Trump donated his salaries. The other didn't understand that if your refund goes up because your withholding went up, you don't save money.
