New library level unlocked: I promoted new books from a recent order at the end of my lesson yesterday. I looked at the row of books and realized I'd read every one on display. 🤩 Ask me anything, kids!

1/2 loved, Loved, LOVED the 3rd (and final?) book in the Horrible Bag trilogy: The Cursed Cloak of the Wretched Wraith by Rob Renzetti. The entire series twists your mind and book 3 is no different, except for the ending.

Holy schmoly- have y'all read this yet? Caught myself laughing out loud 3 times! Author Eliza Kinkz wraps a lesson about how to handle mistakes in love and laughter and Spanglish. I cannot wait to read this to my students! #schoollibrary 📚👍

This book is a masterpiece! How do you navigate grief as a 13-yr-old? Renee Watson's novel-in-verse All the Blues in the Sky follows Sage as she mourns her best friend. One of my fav quotes: "Grief is like hunger...Every day it will show up. Every day I will have to tend to it." 📚👍 #kidlit

In @briespangler.bsky.social's KICKTURN, when the bus her family lives on breaks down, forcing them to take a break, Lindy is introduced to skateboarding. Tired of life on the road, when the bus is fixed, she takes drastic action in hopes of staying where she feels at home. #MGLit (1/2)

Spotted this crazy cool critter on my lemon tree. I *think it's a swallowtail caterpillar.
8-yr-old: Mom, are you sure that's not bird poop?
Me: Want to taste it and find out?
8-yr-old: 🤮 No!
Me: Exactly! The camo is working.
We left him munching happily on the leaves. #natureislit #gardening

In STITCH HEAD by Guy Bass w/art by Pete Williamson, after years of being overlooked, Stitch Head thinks things will change when he's offered a spot in a traveling circus. He's right, but just not how he'd imagined. Fabulous art, (lite) horror & lots of heart! #MGLit 📚👍🏻
