Hello, colleagues! I'm putting together a proposed #SCMS26 panel on Television and Catastrophe. (I know at least one of you has to be working on Chernobyl, right?) Hope you'll consider sending me a topic proposal!

The time has come. I am finally watching THE THORN BIRDS. Required viewing for research on miniseries, especially surrounding the gendered dimensions of "prestige" TV and book adaptation. Here we go!

I'm having serious FOMO about not applying to Console-ing Passions or the very exciting inaugural Hollywood Conference this year. Ya girl needed a serious break and had to stop herself from applying, but OMG THE FOMO. Hope it's going great, @lucimarz.bsky.social! #HWC2025

I'm rewatching Feud: Bette & Joan, and I forgot how good it is + how many great actors are in it. I haven't made it all the way through Feud: Capote vs. the Swans bc it didn't quite grab me, but this original Bette and Joan season is like the sweet spot in the Ryan Murphy Industrial Complex for me.

Have any of you ever volunteered for Lasagna Love? I'm considering signing up (to cook/deliver) but would love to hear from folks I know who have done it.

Always fun to see student papers that cite so many of my brilliant friends and colleagues. I do not always successfully resist the urge to write, "OMG I just saw her at a conference and she's awesome." 🤓

I've been so pumped to see so many colleagues posting about amazing things they're doing & receiving much-deserved recognition for! Also want to acknowledge that behind the milestones, cool events & honors is SO MUCH work, and often frustration, inequitable workloads, & unseen labor. I SEE YOU. 💚

12 days after I first had flu symptoms, I'm still not 100%. Acute flu-like symptoms mostly gone, but still don't feel great, still have a cough, and still just exhausted. I have so much to catch up on, but just doing the grocery shopping this morning wore me out. That #SCMS25 flu, y'all. 🥴

This year's conference bug was apparently the flu, because OMG 🤒. Influenza A over here. (I masked in Denver but didn't the past 2 years, and that bit me in the ass this time.) Still loved seeing y'all though! #SCMS25

Welp, I caught some kind of demon cold, prob at SCMS. It hit me later in the evening on Saturday, after I was already in Las Vegas for a different conference. So I benched myself yesterday, and now I'm at the LV airport, masked + medicated up to my ears, and ready to get home and crash. #VegasBaby
