Building personal trading systems with institutional rigor and civic intent.
Pinned
After a decade in high finance, including 6 years at one of the world’s largest hedge funds, I’m building something different:
A personal trading system with institutional rigor and civic intent.
Building a data-pipe for the FCA’s financial reference data (data.fca.org.uk).
Collecting the full universe of tradeable instruments straight from the regulator; and, crucially, free to republish analyses built on top.

Open, legal, composable data, as it should be.

Configuring a Public MoneyMachine 🏗️
Every Money Machine needs a brain for context. mxm-config is that brain: deterministic, layered config that keeps the system reproducible, public in design, private in operation.

Configuring a public MoneyMachine
mxm-config is the contract that lets the Money Machine be built in public while running in private — layering environments, machines, and profiles into transparent, reproducible configurations.

After the pause of summer, la rentrée is here: time to sharpen pencils, open the notebooks, and return to building the Money Machine.
Starting with exploring the motivation, asking: "What is your Money's job?"
