Thanks to @hcrichardson.bsky.social , I learned that there are 52,000 elected offices up for election on 11/4. That’s 52000 chances to vote in candidates who share our values and who will protect the constitution.

I voted and returned my ballot.

My favourite lines…

On exploring and better connecting with the city: “It’s like London was invisible to me until just this past year.”

On getting healthier, especially mentally healthier: “I’m not adding anything into my schedule. This is just a way of getting around!”
WATCH & SHARE: This is very good. A prominent youtuber is actually giddy (but also very thorough in covering the joys, advantages, issues and challenges) about how trying biking for transportation in London has changed his life.

Easy to watch & more convincing probably than 99% of public campaigns.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.

60 years ago today, the signing of the Voting Rights Act ensured representation for every community in the nation.

Trump is attempting to violate that law now to roll back our progress.

This isn't just about Texas – this is about America.

60 years ago, the Voting Rights Act was signed into law. But today, it is under threat across our nation. As Republicans and far-right courts attempt to turn back the clock, we must not stop fighting to deliver on its promise. It’s time we pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
