This.
I get that decentralized moderation won't look "normie" at all, but people underestimate the nasty patterns and harassment potential.

The biggest problem being they can block their critics. I won't join any block list unless they have a transparent governance model with real people behind.
The idea of blocklists is good, but the problem is once you join you have to trust the person running the list a LOT, how their criteria works, if it changes over time, etc, bc the block feature here is SO strong (which is good) you'd never know if a list had gone off-theme & was catching friendlies

FWIW I had all the troubles in the world to port Statusphere login to Solidstart in local dev because of localhost VS 127.0.0.1 callbacks. Answer is you need both HOST and NITRO_HOST in your env
oof spent an ungodly amount of time trying to get Next.js working with @slices.network OAuth via Claude so to whoever who might run into this later — you need to explicitly redirect with 302, or Next will do it with 307 which (???) breaks OAuth

Is cursor reading CLAUDE.md and .claude? I've setup a few instructions for how to run commands in my containers, including using aliases and now Cursor uses them too 🤔 Never set anything in Cursor, I barely use it anymore.

Why I never thought of "git worktree add ../reviews" before? I used to make all kinds of stashes mistake when checking out branches for reviews 🤦‍♂️

Rise Ubuntu, rise!

I searched for "fullstack JS frameworks courses, not necessarily Next (but could be)", Perplexity infers I don't want Vercel funded frameworks 😂 Nothing in the prompt remotely links to Vercel…

Tobetto, the only #tea I buy every year. Not your daily #sencha course, but it has opened my eyes on what futsu can be. In the most Japanese understated way of course. Such a pleasure to have a calm Saturday morning for it.

I'm super happy with Qobuz btw, especially with their curation and editorial. Good ol' magazine style, good people searching good music.
“Opt in” will be persistent, annoying calls to action that get in the way of everything, as is tradition.

Spotify hasn’t been a music service for years. It’s just another tired SaaS, out of ideas, and doing nothing particularly well.
Spotify is partnering with ChatGPT

• Will personalize music and podcast recommendations

• Available on an opt-in basis

Result of the day: Rye and Solid don't cure neck pain.

Tommow will see Django and Sencha, React and Puerh. I just don't know if I'll pair Drizzle with Porter or Pouilly-Fuissé 🤔

And are easier to test!
You probably know that designing for accessibility benefits everyone, but you’re probably thinking of physical disabilities.

But it can hold even more true for cognitive disabilities! UIs with low demands for sustained attention may help ADHD folks more, but it they are less taxing for everyone.

Rise Ubuntu!
An under-the-radar but huge story: in less than 2 weeks, Microsoft plans to end support for the Windows 10 operating system, which is currently used on 42% (!) of all PCs globally. Over 400 million computers will be vulnerable to hacks or destined for the dump if users don't pay up.
Microsoft Is Abandoning Windows 10. Hackers Are Celebrating.
The company will stop supporting the OS on October 14. Advocacy groups warn this will leave up to 400 million computers vulnerable to hacks or in the dump.

Spinned up SolidStart app + drizzle (on Postgres but whatever) that posts to my PDS! Absolutely incredible.

After a quick glance, Solid to a React dev feels like "I know your pain bro".
