An IT engineer and his floof. My interests are wide, but I love new emerging tech, wildlife, art, EDM, and my family.
These two are enjoying the weather before our next rain/snow mix comes in. #horses #apha

Fun fact, coyotes (and wolves and foxes) are monogamous! They are more loyal than people! But yeah, listen to Affirmation Coyote, they would probably leave you for a better looking more loyal coyote.
Sunday! One more day to slack off and recreate.

It is also World Marriage Day. While it is still coyote mating season and there are a lot of hot young coyotes wandering about, Affirmation Coyote suggests not marrying a coyote. Those things just don't work out.

My neighbors thought they got them all. The thing about coyotes is… they are intelligent, loyal (family), and *extremely* resilient. So, they waited for a calm, and they have returned to put our local ecosystem back in order. #coyote #trailcam #natureisawesome #learnfromnature

Fun walk today at Oglebay Park. Fi app is not so friendly to share the image to Bluesky. I had to save this as an image first. Maybe I should have an account for her? I have lots of pictures each day I could share. #samoyed #oglebay #dog #park #walk

I think sadly we all knew this was coming. Let’s just hope it doesn’t make it far.
And so it begins again - US Reps. Thom Tiffany and Lauren Boebert have reintroduced their bill to strip gray wolves of federal protections.

The bill, renamed the "Pet and Livestock Protection Act", relies on misinformation and fear in its attempt to delist wolves and prevent judicial review.

Republicans in Congress including Rep. Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin on Friday introduced a bill to delist the gray wolf in Wisconsin and 43 other states.

Well this blew, over, on the fence. 5 minutes later horses walked over downed fence and 15 minutes later were running off beyond our place. Thankfully they heard me yell because they came back, but then ran towards the road, and luckily got stopped by a car in the driveway. 4’ no climb destroyed.

The conversations around DeepSeek are interesting. I ran a few practical queries through both it and ChatGPT to compare. I felt bias in the responses to the same questions. But I also felt both produced acceptable results. This will drive further innovation in the end. Competition is good!

You are not alone.

There are more decent and helpful people in the world than shmucks and haters.

Call out. Work together. Stare down the jerks and start making this a better world.

Let’s see how Bluesky handles multiple pictures of my Samoyed. This girl helps me keep my sanity when everything else is spinning around me!

Tonight I tried our new light (Saker Pitch Black) on my Samoyed’s tracking harness (from White Pines). It fit well where the harness comes together under her neck and is very bright, which is what I needed! The other lights I had were not bright enough buried in her fur.

Mission accomplished, my website www.mljenkins.com biography and social links have had the cobwebs dusted off! At some point I'm going to have to go over my LinkedIn profile as well. I haven't touched this stuff in 5+ years, the shame!
