Substack has a Nazi problem. If you're starting a newsletter in 2025, you have other options and you absolutely should take them for moral and ethical reasons, imo. I'm on @buttondown.com and it's pretty great!
I’ve tolerated the Substack app because writers I value publish there, & its daily notifications for people I don’t follow are tedious but ignorable. Today it pushed me straight hate speech. I hope settings>notifications>preferences>marketing>”suggested content” is the way to turn this off but oy

If you have a copy of Let This Radicalize You, pls note that there is an appendix in the back that talks about what to do if the police or any agent of the state shows up at your door. A trusted movement attorney wrote this section. Nothing will keep us 100% safe, but pls be aware of best practices.
