Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same

I'm teaching a dual credit course at a local high school. Bill 2 does not apply to me and my class is set to resume Thursday. I'm torn between going back, supporting my public education colleagues in the classroom or breaking my contract and refusing to return in place of those being forced back.

Housing First is proven, but its success depends on landlords' willingness to offer their rental units.
When politicians paint those experiencing homelessness as addicts or criminals, public willingness to engage declines, undermining the program.

These are my thoughts and should not be taken as speaking on behalf of any group or organization.

I was disappointed, not surprised at the Board's decision. But I am frustrated. Making decisions based on what a bully MIGHT do is how a bully maintains control.
That should be our tipping point.

Every journalist should have the following response prepared for every time they speak with Premier Danielle Smith:

“With respect, Premier, that did not answer my question. What you provided was a justification aligned with your predetermined position, not a direct response."

I asked him @ Al Beeber running campaign ads while still writing for the #Lethbridge Herald.👇

I just read his EBC submission, which has a number of factual errors, including that Leth-west and Leth-East were "... re-aligned ... to ensure the U of L played a pivotal role in supporting the NDP."

Realigned in 2010.
Under the PCs.
By an EBC that understood Democracy.
As a good EBC will.
