We could just be reading great books, watching good movies, and eating fruit. Instead we have to survive/fight miserable power hoarders. What a waste of limited time.

If we are going to survive the next however many years, people are going to need to get grounded and not crash out about every little thing. Freaking out about everything is a perfect way to not have the energy needed for the heavy lifts.

So many people who call themselves “tough” are just numbed out, lacking social awareness, and able to dissociate at an expert level. You’re not tough. Your connection to humanity in yourself and others is hanging by a frayed thread. That’s actually extremely fragile.
