Alice Wong taught us that disabled people don’t just leave memories behind—they leave infrastructure. Lineages of care. Methods of collectivity, survival. She named the connective tissue that holds our communities together, even across death, even across the losses that come too fast and too often.

I don't think people realize how much a trillion dollars is.

Let's say you get paid a million dollars per day. That's a lot, right?

If you spend none of it and pay no taxes, you'll have a trillion dollars in approximately two thousand seven hundred (2700) YEARS.

No one should have that much.

Hey look, Israel broke the cease-fire, twice, in two different ways, within 24 hours - again.
NEW: Israel informed the UN it will permit only 300 aid trucks into Gaza daily, not the 600 mandated by the ceasefire it just signed.

It’s a "crisis" when immigrants "take jobs away", but "innovation" when machines do. Funny.

It's weird how when people talk about crime being out of control they never talk about wage theft, which accounts for more than three times the amount lost in all other kinds of theft combined, robbery, burglary, auto theft, shoplifting....all of it. Combined.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning
Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

If you're scrolling through your feed and an artwork makes you stop scrolling - or heck you scroll back up to have another look... something meaningful is happening. You're having a ✨️moment✨️ with that artwork. It's so special when this happens! But more importantly... let the artist know! 😁

I have the plague (rsv and a migraine) and I'm dying (sitting at home feeling sorry for myself).

I take a photo of the sunset every day, it's like a tiny meditation and brings me a lot of joy. Last night I had a migraine and missed it, and a couple of hours later I got a message from my little sister who had taken photos for me.... to be seen is to be loved.

very rare that an update from Gaza is good to hear — but WCK’s tenacious commitment to its kitchens there is that rarity

I just donated again to support their work and hope you can & will too
WCK resumed cooking in Gaza after our first aid delivery in 12 weeks. With new ingredients on hand, we’re preparing warm, carb-rich meals like pasta and hearty potato stews. The WCK team cooked nearly 10,000 meals on day one of resumed operations. #ChefsForGaza (1/2)

The (definitely not biblically accurate) Ceruledge sword hands were a hit with my nephew! He spent a solid hour running around being Ceruledge which was very cute.

Travelling for the first time since my TBI almost three years ago, and have to keep reminding my brain that excitement and anxiety feel the same in my body.
On an exciting note, I get to see one of my favourite musos AND some of my favourite art this week!!!

I share a birthday with my delightful little nephew, so I'm cramming for monday making sure I'm up to speed on all my very specific pokemon, zelda, and mee meow facts

Also, making a set of ceruledge... sword hands/arm blades (?) for him.

Alt: Cerulegde, a purple pokemon character with flaming swords for hands, standing in a field looking menacing.
