I love the anti Trump, anti DOGE rallies. But it's sad we haven't been able to gather the numbers they've been having for protests in Europe, such as when Germans protested the alt right party. Ppl here just don't care as much 😕
Budapest today. People are demanding that PM Orban resign.

Y'all. Federal workers AFGE literally said vote NO on the CR bill bc it will "dramatically expand" terminations of federal workers.

Don't let the Dem traitors fool you. Anyone who voted for this is not helping federal workers

Dang. Disappointed I had to edit this graphic to add in Sen Angus King (ME)

Chuck Schumer claimed that a gov shutdown would be dangerous and give the White House "free reign" on determining who gets shut down. But...Trump seems pretty happy with Schumer's decision!!

Why? Bc the bill Schumer voted for to avoid shutdown gives Trump and Elon power over gov spending instead
Trump congratulates @schumer.senate.gov on voting for the CR. Pathetic.

9 Senate Democrats are voting with GOP on the CR funding bill. GOP only needs two more votes. Dick Durbin (IL) is up for re-election in 2026

This bill gives unprecedented authority to Trump and Musk to determine where gov spending goes
March 14, 2025 at 10:22 PM
Sen Brian Shatz of Hawaii!? Last month he was praised for standing against DOGE and GOP, saying he'd do all he can to stall Trump's nominees.

Now...he's bowing down to GOP handing funding power to Trump and Elon Musk.
Here are the 9 Democratic senators so far who voted for Trump’s spending bill. I am ashamed to say both of my senators are among them.
March 14, 2025 at 9:12 PM
This needs to be highlighted more. This CR funding bill to avoid a gov shutdown - it wants to DISMANTLE gov. It wants to HAND OVER funding authority - constitutional "power of the purse - to Trump and Elon Musk in the White House. And this is while DOGE has been dismantling agencies
Congress giving away its power, we’re cooked.

Most compliant congress ever

Every time you wonder why Trump, Elon Musk, and the GOP are doing anything, including today's CR funding bill, just remember. MONEY $$$$

They want more money for rich people. Easy answer to everything. Firing fed workers, cuts to Medicare and Social Security, etc.
This is all to pay for a tax cut for very wealthy people
March 14, 2025 at 9:05 PM
From Rep. DeLauro: The CR funding bill would "hand a blank check over to a White House that is already stealing from our families and communities..."

"If this CR becomes law, Musk and President Trump will be able to fire thousands of employees at the Social Security Administration."
Opinion | The House just gave Musk and Trump a blank check. The Senate should tear it up.
Republicans would rather let an unchecked billionaire and the president seize taxpayer funds intended for families and businesses.

My fellow Virginians, Sen Warner said he is a NO now. But y'all, keep watch on him. He is always in this list below of the few Sen Dems who side with GOP every time.

Mad about ICE? He voted on Laken Riley last month to allow deportations for those ACCUSED not convicted of a crime.

His race is 2026
Here are the most likely Democrats to offer up the remaining seven votes to avoid a shutdown: Mark Kelly (AZ), Ruben Gallego (AZ), Michael Bennet (CO), John Hickenlooper (CO), Jon Ossoff (GA), Gary Peters (MI), Elissa Slotkin (MI), Maggie Hassan (NH), Mark Warner (VA).

Senate Democrats’ Choice: Block the Republican Spending Bill or Dissolve Congress
The House’s continuing resolution would effectively hand over spending decisions to Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

Sen. Chuck Schumer wants to vote for the funding bill, thinking it makes no difference to what GOP is doing. That's false.

Many of his fellow Dems have said this is a "blank check" on spending to Trump and Elon Musk, taking away the constitutional power over spending from Congress.
HAYES: There's an unconstitutional assault on the government right now

SCHUMER: There is, absolutely

HAYES: But they say you're not fighting!

SCHUMER: They're already doing it without this CR
March 14, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Chuck before: White House is doing fascist, authoritarian takeover

Funding bill: takes power from Congress and gives to Trump and Elon Musk power to choose what gets money, making it easier to dismantle gov agencies like for Social Security

Chuck: Let's vote for it bc gov shutdown bad!!
If we enter a shutdown, Congressional Republicans would weaponize their majorities to cherry-pick which parts of government to reopen.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN.

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!

While 212 Democrats voted against the Republican funding bill, Rep. Jared Golden of Maine was the ONE Democrat who voted with GOP. He needs to be primaried. He ran unopposed in the last primary in 2024, there needs to be a new Dem to run against him.

Let's applaud Rep. Bill Keating (D-MA) for immediately standing up to Keith: "You will not continue it with me unless you introduce a duly elected representative the right way." The hearing was then adjourned since Keith refused to address McBride correctly
2. Chairman Keith Self (R-TX) deliberately misgendered Representative Sarah McBride (D-DE), the first transgender congresswoman, referring to her as the "Gentleman from Delaware." In response, McBride shot back, addressing Self as "Madam Chair."

Donated $27 to AOC's Pac Courage to Change ahead of Democratic primaries this spring/summer. I believe in the candidates that she believes in and want more effective dems like her.
AOC: It's really because Republicans— they’re very thin skinned and they're very sensitive, and their feelings are very easily hurt. And so they have to vote on censure resolutions.

Just donated today bc I love the work Bernie is doing on his oligarchy tour, especially ahead of the Wisconsin April 1st Supreme Court race
