Messy data but I don’t think this data says what this implies - it’s good that enrollments remain mostly steady but these students were mostly already enrolled or admitted before Trump’s hatchet to higher ed. The cliff would be this year’s applications and next fall’s enrollments.
The number of foreign students in the U.S. decreased by less than 1 percent this fall, according to new federal data, despite predictions that their enrollment would plummet this year due to a crackdown by the Trump administration.
Trump’s crackdown on foreign students barely impacts enrollment, data shows
About 1.3 million students in the U.S. had active visas in October, down less than 1 percent from a year ago.

Abu Dhabi may be committed to the Abraham Accords, mainly due to the political immunity it perceives the deal to provide. Its involvement in the Sudan genocide is increasingly becoming a PR catastrophe that could test the utility of the accords. Domestically, however, the messaging has changed.

The level of disinterest in the ongoing genocide and violent extractivism in Sudan is disheartening. I don’t know if one can attribute this to anti-Black racism per se, but the overwhelming silence and indifference of Arabs is appalling.

We’re about to find out that annexing the West Bank is not in fact a red line for the UAE.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warns Israel against annexing the West Bank, saying steps taken by parliament and settler violence threaten the Gaza peace deal.

Israeli lawmakers voted Wednesday to advance bills on annexing the occupied West Bank, barely a week after a Gaza peace deal was agreed

Folks, Israel is not letting aid in which means Palestinians continue to have to buy food on the black market from Israel sponsored gangs. If you can donate a little money to the fundraisers we're posting, you can keep someone alive. Palestinians wouldn't beg if they didn't have to.
UNRWA has enough food outside #Gaza to supply people there for 3 months, amid desperate need. Our teams stand ready to deliver it.

But despite the #ceasefire, the Israeli Authorities’ block on UNRWA bringing any supplies into Gaza still continues.

Let us get aid into Gaza at the full scale needed.

Both the US & British center left are hoping that a brief cessation in the war on Gaza will return perceptions of the issue to the status quo ante, but as Professor Shibley Telhami has noted that is is basically impossible now.

A whole generation now sees Israel as having committed genocide.
Labour MPs reckon that if the ceasefire holds it will be harder for opponents to mobilize against them over the Israel-Palestine issue in the next election. There are concerns though about whether the fragile agreement will hold. More in London Playbook PM.
