I have had a bottle of champagne in my fridge that I bought for when Kamala was going to win the election. So that didn’t happen, but it’s still there for whenever the long anticipated other joyous headline occurs.

Honestly, I’m a little sad that the 2032 asteroid threat has fizzled. Would have been a fitting end.

Warm and rainy night here. Going to be a big night for salamanders and frogs crossing the roads looking for love.

Bret Stephens/Gail Collins is unreadable today. I think the NYT needs to pair him with Michelle Goldberg, (who would tell him to fuck right off.) It would be against editorial standards but that would be a column I would want to read.

What’s especially loathsome about Brett Stephens NYT column today, is that he is too much of a chicken shit to turn on comments.

A world and government without empathy isn’t going to work for Republicans either. They will have health issues that could render them uninsurable, they will have gay and transgender children. They will need special education services for their children or grandchildren. Life is complex for all.
