Two of the most common climate misconceptions I see, even among knowledgeable folks, are that (1) most people aren't worried about climate change, and (2) if they were, they'd act.

Not true! Data show (1) most people are worried, but (2) they won’t act if they don’t know what to do-and most don’t.

If the planet continues to warm at its current rate, exposure to wildfire smoke will kill an estimated 70,000 Americans each year by 2050, according to new research. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/18/c...

It is brutal irony that even as tailpipe and industrial project to fall in coming decades, they will be replaced by deadly wildfire smoke from warming resulting from decades of emissions from those sources.

Classic #feedbackloop that will harm everyone, especially the most vulnerable.

It's infuriating how 99% of the coverage of this new war doesn't bother to mention that it is happening because we had an agreement to limit and monitor Iran's nuclear program, which even Trump's own aides said was working, and he blew it up because it was negotiated under Obama.

Earth will warm 1.5 degrees Celsius above preindustrial levels in just two years, new data shows. Irreversible tipping points — like the melting of Arctic ice sheets or the collapse of coral reefs — are closer at hand than previously believed.

25 years ago today, “American Skin (41 Shots)” debuted in Atlanta — towards the end of the Reunion Tour — in response to the tragic killing of Amadou Diallo. It has since been performed in dedication to other victims of brutality, including Trayvon Martin and George Floyd.

In space, Venus flanks Earth on the left, with a hellfire greenhouse effect. Mars on the right, which long ago had running water. Today, it's bone dry. Something bad happened on each planet.

Seems like the wrong time to limit the Nation’s capacity to conduct climate research.
