Pesky photo issue has been solved. Let's try this again. New month new theme. Let's see some Siberian #irises. This is 'Bluebird Kisses'. So blue! Siberians are having an evolution in color the past several years. Loads of new things coming out in fresh new colors and patterns. 🌱

A wild collected natural hybrid, 'Violacea Grandiflora' is just as pretty in the garden as any modern variety. Fantastic fragrance too! I love the lavender tones that lean toward a slate blue.

'Romeo' is a bright and fanciful French variety from 1912 and makes a lovely garden planting. Like a burst of butterflies in the border.

🌱 'Queen Of May' (pre-1859) was long a favorite pink with iris lovers. It was not surpassed until the early 1900s and still makes a great show today.

'Pretty Butterfly' lives up to its name. Fresh and sparkling int he morning garden. Created pre-1965, but not officially registered until 1999.

Here's a nice warm variety for a cold foggy morning. 'Paradise Pink' from 1950. I love that bright beard.
