Florence, Arizona never lost its prison vibe. To this day it’s a major hub for the carceral industry, with state and federal criminal detention centers and an ICE detention center.

Its rare when a father sees that the system that failed his son also failed the person who killed him.

“there are no social nets to catch people that have these type of problems, and then we have kids killing kids.”

How it could be possible to lawfully arrest & detain a greencard holder for First Amendment protected speech, overnight him to Louisiana, hold him without bond, and initiate proceedings to revoke his status &* deport him--all without a criminal warrant or criminal charges?

Congress, is mostly how
EVERYTHING THAT JUST HAPPENED TO MAHMOUD KHALIL MIGHT (BUT SHOULD NOT) BE LEGAL
yes, they really can do that--if we let them

The "Gulf of America" thing is ridiculous, but if the press gives in on this, the administration will just keep pushing - maybe conditioning access on deadnaming people, saying Trump won the 2020 election, you name it. Draw a line in the sand now, while the stakes seem small.
Associated Press: “Today we were informed by the White House that if AP did not align its editorial standards with President Donald Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, AP would be barred from accessing an event in the Oval Office.“
